What is the Definition of Wellness?
Wellness is the healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit. In cities like Perth, we are constantly exposed to many types of stresses and it can be quite challenging to maintain a healthy balance.
The three main stresses that we face every day are:
- Physical stress,
- Chemical stress &
- Emotional stress.
Physical stress involves all the activity related stress and the response to environmental pressures and demands.
Chemical stress involves anything foreign that we consume into our body such as (food, drink, pills or even the air we breathe) that can cause a surprising amount of stress if it is toxic.
Emotional stress is any mental distress or anxiety suffered as a response to a sudden, severe, and saddening experience. Wellness care will make you be well aware and address all your daily stresses.
After addressing your stresses appropriately you will then be shown how to reduce and manage them accordingly by the wellness practitioner. Wellness care will promote you eat well, think well and move well. By doing so you can bring a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit.
